This project in Brighton integrates the needs of a medical practitioner resulting in an effective live/ work space. The front of the project is to be utilized as a clinic with a reception and consulting rooms and the rear and upstairs of the house functions as a single family house providing ample separation between public and private spaces. A composition of shifting and descending volumes, lush plantings growing up the building and strategic screening create a soft and inviting elevation for this corner lot. Three large water tanks are fed by an elegantly conceived sloped gutter from the roof creating a feature out of the project's robust rainwater collection system.
